bone tumors

Cancerous skeletal masses

Bone tumors are abnormal growths of tissue within bones, either benign or malignant.

Benign tumors like osteochondromas don't spread beyond the bone.

Malignant bone tumors (bone cancers) include osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma, which can metastasize to other parts of the body.

Secondary bone tumors originate elsewhere and spread to bone: The breast cancer metastasized to bone tumors in her spine.
