bodyache
Generalized physical discomfort
A bodyache is a dull, persistent pain spread through the muscles and joints, typically accompanying illness like the flu or following strenuous exertion.
Unlike a headache or backache, it implies widespread discomfort rather than localized pain: I woke up with chills and a terrible bodyache.
Often written as two words: body ache.
