bluey

Down-under citation

Bluey is Australian and New Zealand slang for several things united by color.

A bluey is a blue-heeler cattle dog, a red-haired person (ironic Australian nickname), a summons or traffic ticket (from the blue paper), or a swag or blanket roll traditionally wrapped in blue cloth.

The word also names a popular Australian animated television series about a cartoon blue heeler puppy.
