bluest
Deepest in melancholy
Bluest is the superlative form of blue—the most blue.
It describes whatever has the deepest or most intense blue color among things compared: the bluest sky I've ever seen, the bluest eyes in the room.
When blue means sad or melancholy, bluest indicates the most dejected state: Monday was my bluest day.
