blind person
Lacks visual perception
A blind person is someone who cannot see, or whose vision is severely impaired.
The term is straightforward and widely accepted, though some prefer *person who is blind* to emphasize personhood before disability.
The blind person navigated the subway with her guide dog.
In casual speech, calling someone blind may describe temporary or figurative inability to perceive: I was blind to his faults.
