blind carbon copy
Hidden email recipients
A blind carbon copy is a copy of an email sent to a recipient whose address is hidden from other recipients.
The term comes from carbon paper copying, where "blind" means concealed.
Abbreviated BCC.
Unlike regular CC recipients, those on BCC remain invisible to everyone else: I put my lawyer on blind carbon copy so the other party wouldn't know she was reading our exchanges.
