benny

Workplace perk, informally

Benny is slang for an amphetamine pill, especially Benzedrine, from which the name derives.

The term dates to mid-20th century drug culture: Truckers used to pop bennies to stay awake on long hauls.

The word has faded as Benzedrine itself became less common, replaced by newer stimulants and their own slang.
