begging
Asking on knees
Begging is asking for something, typically money or food, as charity from strangers.
Street begging involves approaching passersby: a man begging on the corner.
The word extends to earnest pleading: I'm begging you to reconsider.
Something that begs the question either invites an obvious question or, in logic, assumes the conclusion it claims to prove.
