A bedmaker is a person whose job is making beds, especially in a hotel, hospital, or boarding school.
At Cambridge and some other British universities, a bedmaker (or bedder) is a domestic servant who cleans students' rooms: The bedmaker tidied his quarters while he was at lectures.
