bass drop
Dubstep's seismic moment
A bass drop is the moment in electronic dance music when the beat and low frequencies kick in after a buildup, typically the climactic point of a track.
DJs and producers structure songs around this payoff: tension builds through rising synths or silence, then the bass drops and the crowd goes wild.
Waiting for the bass drop.
