barnstorm
Stunt-fly country fairs
Barnstorm originally meant to tour rural areas giving theatrical performances or stunt-flying exhibitions in improvised venues—often literally barns.
Early aviators barnstormed across America, landing in farmers' fields to offer rides and aerial tricks.
The word now applies more broadly to any rapid tour through multiple locations, especially by politicians campaigning: The candidate barnstormed through swing states in the final week.
