back load
Delay the burden
Back load means to concentrate costs, effort, or obligations toward the end of a period or process rather than distributing them evenly or placing them upfront.
A back-loaded payment schedule defers most payments until later: The contract back-loads the fees into the final year.
The opposite is front-load.
