cram

Force into tight space

Cram means to force or pack tightly into a space that barely accommodates it: She crammed clothes into the suitcase.

By extension, cram describes hurried, intensive study before an exam—stuffing knowledge into your head: I crammed all night for the final.

A cram session is a last-minute study marathon.
