Slayer of infants
Baby-killer is a harsh epithet for someone perceived as responsible for infant deaths.
It appears most often as an accusation hurled at abortion providers or supporters, soldiers involved in civilian casualties, or politicians whose policies critics blame for child mortality: Protesters screamed "baby-killer" at the clinic staff.
The term aims to shock and delegitimize rather than describe.
