autography

Writing one's name

Autography is the act of writing something in one's own hand, or the handwriting itself.

The term also refers to a process of transferring writing or drawing directly to a lithographic stone for printing.

In medicine, autography describes a skin condition where light pressure leaves visible marks—also called dermatographism or "skin writing."
