artboards
Digital layout spaces
Artboards are distinct work areas within a digital design application, each functioning as an independent canvas.
A single document might contain multiple artboards representing different screen sizes, pages, or design variations: I set up separate artboards for the mobile and desktop versions.
The term comes from the physical boards designers once mounted artwork on for presentation.
