Water aerobics class
Aquafit is a fitness class conducted in a swimming pool, combining aerobic exercise with the resistance and buoyancy of water.
The format is gentler on joints than land-based workouts, making it popular with older adults and those recovering from injuries: My grandmother swears by her Tuesday aquafit class.
Also called water aerobics or aqua aerobics.
