anxiousness

Restless worried feeling

Anxiousness is the state of being anxious—uneasy, worried, or nervously eager.

It overlaps almost entirely with anxiety but sounds slightly less clinical: Her anxiousness about the interview kept her up all night.

The word can also describe eager anticipation: His anxiousness to please was obvious.
