misgiving

Feeling of doubt

A misgiving is a feeling of doubt or apprehension about a future action or decision.

Unlike outright opposition, misgivings suggest unease rather than certainty: She had misgivings about the plan but went along with it.

Usually plural: Despite his misgivings, he signed the contract.
