antipolitical
Rejecting civic engagement
Antipolitical describes opposition or hostility to politics, political systems, or political engagement.
Someone with antipolitical views might reject partisan activity as corrupt or pointless: His antipolitical stance kept him from voting.
The term can also characterize movements or ideologies that define themselves against conventional political participation: an antipolitical philosophy that favored direct action over elections.
