antimilitarist

Against armed forces

An antimilitarist opposes military institutions, war, and the use of armed force to resolve conflicts.

The term describes both the person holding such views and, as an adjective, the views themselves: antimilitarist protests, an antimilitarist stance.

Antimilitarists may advocate for disarmament, conscientious objection, or peaceful alternatives to military action.
