anti-roll bar

Cornering stability device

An anti-roll bar is a metal rod connecting opposite wheels of a vehicle to reduce body lean during cornering.

When one wheel rises, the bar transfers force to the other side, keeping the chassis more level.

Also called a sway bar or stabilizer bar.

The mechanic recommended stiffer anti-roll bars for track driving.
