anti-establishmentarianism
Rejecting institutional authority
Anti-establishmentarianism is opposition to established power structures—particularly government, religious, or social institutions seen as controlling or corrupt.
The word is sometimes confused with antidisestablishmentarianism, which specifically opposed ending the Church of England's official status.
Anti-establishmentarianism is broader: The punk movement embraced anti-establishmentarianism.
The simpler "anti-establishment" usually suffices.
