androgenic
Producing masculine traits
Androgenic describes substances or processes that promote male characteristics.
Androgens are hormones—primarily testosterone—that trigger development of male sex organs, facial hair, deeper voice, and increased muscle mass.
In medicine, androgenic refers to drugs or conditions that produce these masculinizing effects: androgenic steroids, androgenic alopecia (male-pattern baldness).
