hypogonadism
Underactive sex glands
Hypogonadism is a medical condition in which the sex glands—testes in men, ovaries in women—produce insufficient hormones.
This can result from problems with the glands themselves or with the pituitary signals that regulate them.
Symptoms include low libido, fatigue, and in men, erectile dysfunction; in women, irregular periods.
He was diagnosed with hypogonadism after blood tests showed low testosterone.
