analytical geometry
Equations describe shapes
Analytical geometry is the branch of mathematics that uses coordinate systems and algebraic equations to study geometric shapes and their properties.
Points become number pairs, lines become equations, and curves become functions.
Also called coordinate geometry.
We used analytical geometry to prove the three points were collinear.
