anaglyphs
Red-blue depth pictures
Anaglyphs are images designed to create a three-dimensional effect when viewed through special glasses with differently colored lenses, typically red and cyan.
The technique works by presenting slightly offset images to each eye, mimicking natural stereoscopic vision: Those old 3D movies used anaglyphs.
The term also refers to carved ornaments in low relief, where figures project slightly from a background surface.
