dichromatic

Displaying two colors

Dichromatic describes something having or using two colors.

In biology, it often refers to a form of color vision with two types of color receptors rather than the typical three—dichromats see a more limited color range than people with normal vision.

The term also describes animals with two distinct color phases or sexual dimorphism in coloring: The dichromatic species has bright males and dull females.
