ambulancing

Rushing to hospital

Ambulancing is the act of transporting someone by ambulance, typically to a hospital or medical facility.

The term appears most often in professional emergency medical contexts, describing the logistics of getting patients from one location to another: The paramedics spent the shift ambulancing patients between the accident scene and trauma centers.

It can also be used more loosely to describe rushing someone somewhere urgently, as if by ambulance.
