ambigrams
Upside-down readable words
An ambigram is a word or design that retains meaning when viewed from a different orientation—rotated, mirrored, or flipped.
The most common type reads the same upside down: The tattoo artist specialized in ambigrams that could be read right-side up or inverted.
Some ambigrams reveal a different word when transformed, while others achieve symmetry through reflection.
