Whitesnake

Eighties arena rock band

Whitesnake is a British hard rock band formed in 1978 by singer David Coverdale after he left Deep Purple.

The group achieved massive commercial success in the late 1980s with power ballads and arena rock anthems like "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love." Whitesnake's sound blends blues-based hard rock with the polished production of the hair metal era, and the band went through numerous lineup changes while Coverdale remained the constant frontman.
