WebOS

LG television platform

WebOS is a mobile operating system originally developed by Palm for smartphones and later acquired by LG for use in smart televisions.

The system pioneered card-based multitasking, where apps appeared as stackable cards that could be swiped away to close.

Though Palm's phones failed commercially, WebOS found lasting success powering LG's television interface, where its intuitive navigation and app ecosystem remain central features.
