The Hurt Locker

The Hurt Locker is a 2008 film about a U.S.

Army bomb disposal unit in Iraq, directed by Kathryn Bigelow.

The title comes from military slang—being "in the hurt locker" means being in a bad situation, especially one involving injury or intense pain: That IED put him in the hurt locker.

The film won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
