Team America is a 2004 satirical puppet film by the creators of South Park, using marionettes to parody American foreign policy and action movies.
The phrase has become shorthand for jingoistic interventionism or over-the-top patriotism: Here comes Team America to save the day again.
The film's profane puppet sex scene and anthems like "America, Fuck Yeah" remain cultural touchstones.
