Tarheels
UNC athletic teams
Tarheels is a nickname for people from North Carolina, and specifically for the athletic teams of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The origin is disputed but likely refers to tar production in the state's pine forests.
The Tarheels are favored to win the ACC tournament this year.
