TERF
Gender-critical radical feminist
TERF is an acronym for "trans-exclusionary radical feminist"—someone who holds feminist views but excludes transgender women from womanhood.
The term originated in feminist discourse but now functions as a slur in many contexts: She was called a TERF for questioning gender self-identification.
Those labeled TERFs often reject the term, preferring "gender-critical." The word appears in heated debates about women's spaces, sports, and the boundaries of sex and gender.
