St John's

Easternmost Canadian city

St John's is the capital city of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada's easternmost provincial capital.

The name also belongs to the capital of Antigua and Barbuda in the Caribbean.

Both cities take their name from Saint John, though which John—the Baptist or the Apostle—varies by local tradition.

The apostrophe placement distinguishes these cities from Saint Johns without one.
