warehouse party
Unlicensed venue event
A warehouse party is an event held in an industrial space—typically a warehouse, factory, or other large vacant building—rather than a conventional venue.
The term evokes underground or unlicensed gatherings, often featuring electronic music, that flourished in the 1980s and 90s rave scene: We found out about the warehouse party through a phone hotline at midnight.
Today it may describe any large party in an industrial setting, whether illicit or legitimately permitted.
