Shark Tank

Entrepreneurs face investors

Shark Tank is an American television show where entrepreneurs pitch business ideas to a panel of wealthy investors ("sharks") who may offer funding in exchange for equity.

The format has made the show's name a general term for any high-stakes pitch situation: It felt like walking into Shark Tank when I presented to the board.

The sharks' blunt rejections and negotiations have become cultural touchstones.
