Screenwriting

Penning film dialogue

Screenwriting is the craft of writing scripts for films, television shows, or other visual media.

A screenplay includes dialogue, scene descriptions, and stage directions formatted in a standardized way that tells actors and crew what happens on screen.

Unlike novels or plays, screenwriting demands economy—showing rather than telling, since the camera and actors do much of the storytelling work.

She took a screenwriting class to learn proper script format.
