Roman collar
White clerical band
A Roman collar is the stiff white band worn around the neck by Christian clergy, particularly Catholic priests.
It fits into a slot in a collarless black shirt, leaving a small white rectangle visible at the throat.
Also called a clerical collar or dog collar: The Roman collar marked him as a priest even in plain clothes.
