Richard Lionheart
Richard Lionheart is the English name for Richard I of England (1157–1199), whose epithet "Lionheart" or "Coeur de Lion" celebrated his reputation as a fearless warrior.
He spent most of his reign fighting in the Crusades and defending his French territories.
The name now evokes medieval chivalry and martial courage: He fancied himself a Richard Lionheart, charging into every conflict.
