Proms
London summer concerts
The Proms is a series of classical music concerts held annually in London, formally called the BBC Promenade Concerts.
The name comes from the tradition of standing or walking in the arena rather than sitting.
The season culminates in the festive Last Night of the Proms: We got tickets to the Proms this summer. (Lowercase proms refers to high school dances.)
