Oddfellows

Three-link fraternal order

Oddfellows are members of fraternal organizations that emerged in 18th-century Britain, the largest being the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Like Freemasons, they organize into lodges, conduct rituals, and emphasize mutual aid and charitable works.

The name likely originated from tradesmen of various ("odd") occupations banding together.

My grandfather was an Oddfellow for fifty years.
