Northwest

Oregon and Washington

Northwest designates a specific region, most commonly the Pacific Northwest of the United States—Washington, Oregon, and sometimes neighboring areas.

It also names other defined regions: the Northwest Territories of Canada, England's industrial Northwest.

The Northwest Passage is the sea route through Arctic waters connecting the Atlantic and Pacific. (Lowercase northwest is the compass direction.)
