Muttley

Muttley is a cartoon dog from Hanna-Barbera's *Wacky Races* (1968) and *Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines*, sidekick to the villainous Dick Dastardly.

He's known for his distinctive wheezing snicker—a sniggering laugh that sounds like suppressed giggling.

As a common noun, a muttley describes someone who laughs like this, or the laugh itself: He did a Muttley when the boss tripped.
