Mormon temple
Salt Lake landmark
A Mormon temple is a sacred building in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reserved for special ceremonies including marriages, baptisms for the dead, and other ordinances.
Unlike regular meetinghouses open to anyone, temples admit only church members in good standing who hold a "temple recommend." Temples are architecturally distinctive, often topped with a golden statue of the angel Moroni.
They were married in the Salt Lake Temple.
