Metro-North

New York trains

Metro-North is the commuter railroad serving New York City's northern suburbs, running from Grand Central Terminal through the Hudson Valley, Connecticut, and Westchester County.

The name distinguishes it from the Long Island Rail Road, which serves areas east of the city: I take Metro-North in from Stamford every morning.
