MP4s

Compressed video files

MP4s are digital video files in the MPEG-4 format, a standard for storing video, audio, and subtitles in a single compressed file.

The format dominates online video distribution because of its balance of quality and file size: I downloaded a few MP4s of the concert.

Nearly all devices and platforms play MP4s natively.
