stage performances
Acts before audiences
Stage performances are live entertainments presented before an audience in a theater or similar venue—plays, musicals, dance, opera, or stand-up comedy.
The term emphasizes the in-person, unrepeatable quality that distinguishes theater from film or recorded media: Her stage performances were legendary, though she never made a movie.
